UEFA Champions League Round of 16 Leg 1 of 2
It’s been an exciting Round of 16 so far in this years UEFA Champions League. Tottenham beat Dortmund 3-0 leaving Dortmund with a struggle-some uphill battle for the second leg. Meanwhile Real Madrid beat Ajax away from home 2-1 alleviating the pressure on them in the second leg.
Last night saw two frustrating, goalless draws with Premier League’s Liverpool failing to score whilst managing to keep a clean sheet against German Giants Bayern Munich. This makes an existing spectacle for the second leg to see who prevails.
Tonight’s Matches (20th February 2019)
Tonight’s games are featuring two Champions League finalists which are Atletico Madrid who host Juventus in what sounds like a great match. Two brilliant teams going head to head and only one of them can progress to the quarter finals. It should be a close game but if the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala can find any form we’re backing Juventus to progress through to the quarter finals. The last time Juventus beat Atletico Madrid was in 1965 in the Fairs Cup semi-final second-leg replay (3-1).
The other fixture for tonight is with Schalke 04 who host Premier League Champions Man City. This is looking like a tough fixture for Schalke with City being in fine form. The line-ups haven’t yet been confirmed but if City start Aguero then he could definitely cause Schalke some problems. He can definitely give City an away advantage ready for the second leg.
Our Prediction For Tonight’s Games
We’ll be doing a double featuring Juventus to beat Atletico away from home and Man City to beat Schalke which is also away from home. There should be some good odds on this particular selection. With Betfair we’ve got this double at odds of 3.86 and we’ll be putting £50 on this selection, this gives us a return of £196. We’re pretty confident of this selection, we tipped Arsenal to beat Leicester 3-1 last time out and it came in at ridiculous odds.
